Course Overview: In this course, you will explore two primary methods for pavement creation: using the MTF with snippets or utilising a design TIN and strings. These methods are tailored to accommodate varying project requirements, considering factors such as project scale and the complexity of the pavement design. By understanding these methods, you will be equipped to select the most efficient strategy for your specific project needs.

The course also delves into different techniques for creating subgrade TINs, acknowledging that the data you work with may vary across projects. Additionally, we introduce advanced tools developed in Version 15, such as Meta X for accurate attribution of pavement trims and design, and Quick Start for rapid road and pavement design, which can be customised to meet your unique project requirements.

In this course we cover:

• The analysis of construction data and the methodology for recreating an MTF and an Apply MTF Function in order to enable a pavement design.
• Manual pavement creation using modifiers to reinforce the fundamentals of pavement creation within the MTF.
• The use of the Pavement Styles Manager and MTF Snippets to reliably produce pavement trimeshes consistent with company and project requirements.
• The use of MetaConnex for the attribution of pavement trimesh data.
• The use of Design Quick Start and Design Quick Tools to seamlessly produce customised design strings and pavement layers, allowing for typical remove link modifiers within the MTF.
• Creation of pavement trimeshes for subdivision roads, major intersections, traffic islands, roundabouts and freeways using the ‘Pavement create from TINs’ function.
• The Subgrade TIN creation options available including TIN creation via MTF Snippets, string and section data creation via MTF Snippets, and the Top/bottom TIN from Trimeshes function.
