Course outline:
1. 12d Model 15 Fundamentals Course
· This course teaches you to navigate 12d Model 15, some of the key terminology, and how to view and create data.
· The Fundamentals course is a pre-requisite for this course. Completing the Fundamentals course unlocks the 12d Model 15 Getting Started for Design Course.
2. 12d Model 15 Getting Started for Design
This course continues on from the Fundamentals course. In this course we:
· We use the super alignment string to model our road centreline by creating horizontal and vertical geometry.
· Create our road strings and cross sections from that reference string by applying a template.
· Assess our completed design using each of the plan, section, and perspective views.
· Showcase some more advanced design concepts, those being Kerb return creation, Components, Design quick start, BIM object creation, and Labelling with Chains.
· Complete the course by plotting plan, cross-section, and long sections plots, and also demonstrate how to use Multipage Plots, to plot an entire set of plans, at the click of a button.
